Dr Clarke completed his orthopaedic surgery residency at Mayo Clinic, and a fellowship in Knee Surgery, with Dr John Insall, at the Insall Scott Kelly Institute in New York.
Dr Clarke is the Chair of Orthopedic Surgery at the Mayo Clinic in Phoenix, USA where he specializes in knee replacement. He has lectured extensively about knee surgery, and has authored more than 100 articles and book chapters. Dr Clarke is the Deputy Editor for Hip & Knee for JAAOS. Dr Clarke also serves as the Chair of Continuing Medical Education for the American Academy of Orthopedic Surgeons and Chair of the International Committee for ICJR.

As Chief of the Rothman Institute’s Division of Adult Reconstruction, Matthew S. Austin, MD, oversees one of the world’s largest and most respected hip and knee replacement and joint preservation programs. Physicians in the Division’s clinical section perform more than 14,000 arthroplasty and joint preservation procedures every year and publish a high-volume of peer-reviewed papers per year. The Division’s basic science research section has been among the top four programs receiving funding from the National Institutes of Health.
Dr. Austin also directs Rothman’s Fellowship in Adult Reconstruction, providing Fellows with the most advanced training in all aspects of hip and knee reconstruction. He holds editorial positions with numerous medical journals, lectures extensively across the United States and has published over 80 scholarly articles. He is a member of the Hip Society, Knee Society, American Association of Orthopaedic Surgeons, and American Association of Hip and Knee Surgeons and serves as Chair of the American Association of Hip and Knee Surgeons Evidence-based Medicine Committee.
A 1998 graduate of the Temple University School of Medicine, Dr. Austin completed an Internship in general surgery, a Residency in orthopaedic surgery and a Fellowship in adult reconstruction at Jefferson.

Neil Sheth is Chief of Orthopaedic Surgery at Pennsylvania Hospital Assistant Professor of Orthopaedic Surgery at the University of Pennsylvania. He obtained his undergraduate degree in Biomedical Engineering with a minor in Finance at the University of Pennsylvania. He then spent 2 years on Wall Street as a Financial Analyst in Solomon Smith Barney's Healthcare Investment banking division prior to attending medical school at the Albany Medical College. Following medical school, he completed a 6 year Orthopaedic Surgery residency at the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania. Following residency, he completed an adult hip and knee reconstruction fellowship at Rush University as well as a 3 month mini-fellowship at the Endo Klinik in Hamburg, Germany focusing on peri-prosthetic infection. Dr. Sheth returned to join the faculty at the University of Pennsylvania in 2012. He is currently the Adult Hip and Knee Reconstruction Fellowship Site Director for Pennsylvania Hospital. His clinical research focuses on acetabular bone loss pertaining to revision total hip arthroplasty, peri-prosthetic infection and health policy and health economics as it pertains to total joint replacement. As a Senior Fellow at Leonard Davis Institute of Economics, he has been leading a team to change systems of musculoskeletal care delivery in Sub-Saharan Africa.
