Mumbai, previously known as Bombay, is the financial capital and probably its most modern and glamorous city too. Bombay was originally a conglomeration of seven islands, which over time were joined to form this city overlooking the vast Arabian ocean. Mumbai is spread longitudinally from South Mumbai to North Mumbai and to the central suburbs. The Gateway of India was built in 1924 in the pre-Independent India and was the sea route entry into Mumbai. Today it is a major tourist attraction - a must see site for travelers to Mumbai. This part of Mumbai continues to be the most prestigious and one of the elite areas of this city, which is growing both geographically and in its population. Many consider it their city of dreams, and are willing to work and travel long hours through its busy traffic to make their money here. Mumbai has opportunities for all.
